Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on approach that evaluates and supports the craniosacral system—the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding the brain, spinal cord, and pelvis. By attuning to the body’s subtle cranial rhythm, practitioners help release physical tension and stored emotional stress.
-
Craniosacral Therapy (CST), as coined by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger, is rooted in the broader tradition of osteopathy founded by Andrew Taylor Still. Still openly acknowledged the influence of Native American healers, particularly the Shawnee and Cherokee whose practices emphasized deep, perceptive touch and an attunement to the body often described as “listening to the bones.” These Indigenous healing traditions reflect a longstanding understanding of the body’s inherent rhythms, wisdom, and capacity for self-regulation, which continue to inform modern therapeutic approaches like CST

Common experiences include deep physical relaxation through muscle and emotional tension release. It's not uncommon to see psychedelic images, hear sounds, see ancestors and revisit past experiences and gain insight on present situations as you open innate intelligence and your ancestral wisdom. No two sessions are alike.
Often people feel like they are floating, deeply relaxed and in a psychic awareness or altered consciousness. Gentle touch is used to detect and balance the body’s “cranial wave” pulsing through the craniosacral system to unwind restriction, trauma and pain in the respiratory and circulatory systems, fascia, muscles, joints, ligaments and more.
-
By supporting the body’s innate healing capacity, CST is often used as a preventative approach to strengthen resilience and overall function. It benefits a wide range of concerns, including:
Newborn and infant issues (feeding challenges, latch difficulties, tongue/lip ties, colic, birth trauma)
Musculoskeletal conditions (torticollis, plagiocephaly, chronic neck and back pain, scoliosis)
Stress-related and pain disorders (tension, migraines, fibromyalgia)
Jaw dysfunction such as Temporomandibular joint disorder
Neurological and immune-related conditions (motor coordination challenges, central nervous system disorders, seizures)
Developmental concerns (speech and learning difficulties)
Chronic conditions (fatigue, post-surgical dysfunction, orthopedic issues)
Emotional and trauma-related concerns, including birth trauma, sexual trauma, and Post-traumatic stress disorder
Traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries
CST is valued for its gentle approach and its ability to address both physical and emotional patterns held in the body.

The number of sessions needed depends on the reason for your visit. Many clients notice changes with one session. The severity of the issue may require additional sessions. For chronic disorders, ongoing treatments may be necessary to facilitate a release. We offer discounted sessions through package rates.

Unfortunately health insurance doesn’t cover services. However we do accept FSA and HSA.

“I’ve never quite experience as powerful a session as the one I had with Christian. She is a very gifted healer. Her energy is strong, with a beautiful light touch that seems to be guided by my intuition. I really can’t express how grateful I am to have found her and very much look forward to healing sessions in the future!”
